About John

A second chance became a different way of living.

John E Harrity is an author, husband, father, patent attorney, philanthropist, and founder of the Love Revolution.

Before 2016, John knew how to achieve. He was still learning how to receive love.

A near-fatal widowmaker heart attack brought his life to a sudden stop. He spent weeks critically ill, surrounded by family and friends who showed him a depth of love he had not fully understood before.

Survival did not instantly transform everything. The change unfolded over years. John began recognizing how emotionally closed off he had been, how much love had always surrounded him, and how differently he wanted to spend whatever time remained.

That journey led to A Life That Looks Like Love, a growing body of original music, and the Love Revolution: a call to make love—not status, fear, labels, or the need to be right—the organizing principle of a life.

“I no longer want to count my days by what I accomplish. I want to count them by people.”

John’s work is rooted in the Great Commandment and expressed through practical encouragement, service, storytelling, music, and conversation.

He writes and speaks not as someone who has mastered love, but as someone committed to continuing the work—and inviting others to join him.
